Look who I met today! Aren’t her eyes captivating.

I go out every single day to photograph and find something beautiful. Sometimes I want to stay in a fuss in my bed and sulk about my pain or my past or my life but that does not last. I have to go find something and as soon as I do it is all that matters. Even if for only a few moments. It’s so worth it.

Bethany Kays is the BEST nature photographer and she has a magical way with animals. As a trauma survivor, Bethany’s photography and communing with nature is her favorite form of therapy. She says that every picture she takes heals her a little more, and I believe it.

Just look at the eyes on this beautiful deer. Glorious!

I’m sorry that I haven’t written anything new on my blog in several weeks. Most of my creative energy these days is going toward writing my memoir. The process isn’t easy. And yet, the insight and healing that I have already gained, is so worth it.
