Living:part 3

My husband and I went out to a lake on the prairie and hoped to find the eagle’s nest we found last time we went to the prairie. We hoped to see the eagle too. I took my scooter as my legs no longer wanted to even move. We road out down a path to a dock. First we saw a bird in a tree. I have no idea what kind of bird he was but just beautiful. I was looking at a flower on the edge of the water when my husband said LOOK UP. And there was the bald eagle. Soaring in the sky. Beautifully soaring. We watched him for a long time. He flew away, came back, circled over our heads, flew off, came back, circled us again. It was magical I must say. I took a few last pictures of the prairie and some things that caught my eye. That eagle though…that was really living. Sitting in my chair, leaning back against my husband, looking at that eagle…that was living.

  2. Third one from the bottom looks like a painting! Stopped me in my scrolling tracks. It’s amazing. I would frame that and put it on the wall behind my couch. Haha…seriously though. I really love it.

The water in that one photo, looks so blue and the sky was clear today, huh? That first eagle photo is awesome. Would love to see a zoom in of that one.

    1. Barry said the same thing. He wants me to frame some of them he liked them so much.
I zoomed in on every one of them and they are sooooo neat. I tried to take a closer one of the eagle but the sun was soooo bright and i had a zoom lens and he was right over us but i couldnt find him in the frame because of the sun. So i finally put the camera down and just watched him he was so freakin cool.

  3. Also, I forgot…what is that white stuff on the tree in the first photo? Sorry if you’ve taken pictures of trees like that before and this is a repeat question. It looks kind of like ice, but I know better than that. Lol.

  4. Such a beautiful place. I’m glad you got to see the eagle. I think I found what the other bird is, an anhinga. I found it by looking up large Florida birds. Here is what Wikipedia said: The anhinga, sometimes called snakebird, darter, American darter, or water turkey, is a water bird of the warmer parts of the Americas. The word anhinga comes from the Brazilian Tupi language and means devil bird or snake bird.

    1. Oh my gosh thank you ! I am a member of this bird watching group online and we post sightings of birds so that they can be monitored for extinction or endangered. I could not figure it out. Thank you!!!

      1. You are welcome. Luckily, it’s name started with an A. It was the first bird to come up. Lol When we were well, my husband and I used to go to different places to bird-watch. I still do it from my balcony.
