Shout out

I used to read all of the blogs in my inbox every few days.

Things have changed since I had the 5 seizures.

I had an appointment yesterday with an eye specialist. He equated my seizures and the symptoms to that of a person who had a traumatic brain injury in war. He said that my symptoms actually matched some of the war veterans with the sensitivity to light, eye pain, overstimulation in my brain, pain, all caused by the seizures and the nerves that have not calmed down yet. He said it may take a year. He is sending me to specialist due to the severity and rarity of my symptoms. Really just the complexity of it all with the muscle disease and memory loss and seizures and that one darn pupil that just won’t react correctly. My vision in that eye is 20/200. It is just plain painful to read for any length of time. What I write and post I don’t even read for typos. Go figure my PTSD is also compared to a war veteran. NOT that I am comparing myself because I in no way know what it is like to be a war veteran and I have the highest respect and regard for those who have fought for us. I just found it ironic that two doctors have said my symptoms remind them of a war veteran.

So please forgive me if I have not caught up on your blogs. I do read as much as I can and although I don’t always comment, I hear and feel the words. All of your words are so courageously spoken.

A few blogs I follow I wanted to give a shoutout to today that I have read. I have no idea if I copied and pasted their links correctly, hopefully so.

So if you are looking for a new blog to read…check these fabulous people out!

  1. Thanks for the shout-out. I am so sorry that you have been having so many seizures. I have only had a few in my life but I know how scary they are. Take good care. I am with Bethany – I love freaking your blog too!

      1. Sorry about the confusing part about agreeing with you – I for some reason thought I was on someone else’s blog that you commented on. And as for always caring – we have to stick together and support each other because no one outside of the chronic illness community can understand what we go through. Hope you have a wondrous Christmas and New Year!

      2. It’s true. Unless you have a chronic illness you don’t get it. That’s why I relate to your blog because you get it. Hoping you have a good christmas too

5 though! Geez. I think I knew but didn’t realize. I’m so sorry. I hope this next doctor can help in a way that makes things a whole lot better. You freaking deserve that and so much more.

      1. Aw, yay! I love exchanging comments with you too. We have a ton in common when it comes to the type of psychological mind bends we have been through.

I can only imagine how scary seizures are. Answers and solutions are much needed. I hope you find a doc that can give you at least a few.

    1. Merry Christmas to you!
It has been difficult with so many stinkin issues!!!!
I felt awful for getting so behind on so many people I dearly care about. My right eye is really hurting. In the last few months I will read. Afew in the morning and. A few at night sometimes with glasses and headphones on to minimize being over stimulated in my nervous system.
The seizures on top of the already Lyme disease and muscle disease an ptsd are a lot. The memory loss very very frustrating but the eye pain tops my bitching list right now for sure. Thanks for caring!

  5. Wow! For someone who doesn’t read “much” you read many blogs. ☺️🤗 Good luck with your health issues. Next year will be a better and good one. I can feel it!☺️

    1. I have bursts where I try to catch up but usually just a few a day now. I used to be up all night so I’d read from 8 pm until 3 am. But fortunately I am getting better sleep and I just stop when my eye hurts. Today my eye and shoulder hurts so I will go through my comment but not read any blogs bc it hurts to use my arm to type and to read!
But I really wanted to do that yesterday..
Hoping for things to look up for Me….if not…I have the sky
