Poetry and photo

I am not a vintage car

Nor a “classic” movie star

Nor a “girl” you met in a bar

I’m not your daughter

You’re not my brother

I was molded by one Father

Not the one whose name I carry

Although they tried

To make a perfect me

Until I finally married

His name I took proudly.

I loathe who you created

Just a shadow of

Everything in life I have hated

But more

It is you

I abhor

As I lived behind

And inside

Your secret doors.

I shed

This skin

Like a snake

In the sun

All of your buttons

Have been undone

I stepped outside

The darkness of you

Molded from God

I can now live

My truth

Even

For just a moment

Under a white watchful moon

      1. Thank you!!!!!!!
My husband liked my latest stream of them. They all came out of pure hatred for my mother. He said it was amazing how i could channel out my hate through something beautiful and then be able to let it go. So I thought well that’s a cool thought.
Yours is a great comment too so thank you!
