Cee’s Share Your World Prompt

I’ve never done one of these. How fun!!!

Do you ever sit on a park bench for more than ten minutes?

There is a church down the road from me. I often go and sit on the bench and look at the flowers, birds, and butterflies in the garden there. They have a prayer garden and I find great peace and connection to God there.

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles, turn on the flashlight or use your cell phone for light?

Since we live in Florida this happens all the time. I have been banned from candles by my husband 🙂 so he bought us battery powered lanterns and by each of our beds is a flashlight. The worst are the hurricanes where we lose power for days and more than light we miss the water!!!

Would you rather be given $10,000 for your own use or $100,000 to give anonymously to strangers?

To be completely honest, $10,000 would not….well lets just say I am beyond $10,000 in need with mobility needs and medical debt. So I would rather have faith that it will all work out as it needs to and take the $100,000 and give it to those who I know cannot pay for basic necessities. Due to my muscle disease I know many others who don’t have help transferring from their chair to shower. I know someone who cannot afford the after care of a shoulder replacement surgery and he is in a wheelchair. I would love to pay for that for him.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?

My daughter inspires me. On this day she was able to finally leave the house and she chose to visit the horse down the road and watch the sunset with me. When you are chronically ill and push through the pain to enjoy nature that is most inspiring.

A hawk also visited me this week and I appreciated her immensely. She made me feel gratitude and inspiration to not give up.

    1. So you KNOW. I wish you didn’t know. I wish you had no idea what this felt like. Thinking of you and hoping for a good day for you.
The bench is wonderful and I have to say I often find myself there much longer than 10 minutes before I then go to the cross and cry under it feeling humility and gratitude for what I DO have still

  1. Hello Bethany , this is beautiful. Your post to the prompts are wonderful and so generous for others. I know how much you suffer as you have described it here on your blog, yet every answer seemed to give credit and joy, even help to others. Love the pictures also. You shine with an inner light. Hugs
